The Chains Aren't So Bad

In her dream she whispered......

“The chains aren’t so bad”

Sure, they stole my identity, robbed me of my dignity, stripped away my sanity, made me question my humanity, but I’ll get used to them...

She fell deeper into slumber and muttered softly to herself,

“The chains aren’t so bad”

Oppression is my mental state, thought suppression served on my dinner plate,

the food is full of lies and the server I despise but at least I’m not starving.

She drifted off further and to her mental demise she rationalized...

“The chains aren’t so bad”

And besides...I can’t break free, I've got people tethered to me.

I’m chained to people that I love and they love being chained!

But then she awakened!!

And in a loud voice... proclaimed, freedom is not my choice...

It is my calling!!!

The revelation was clear, she could no longer stay here.

She was too woke to stay bound so she picked up her crown and

CHOSE FREEDOM!!!!
