What’s your function? You are so much greater than the degree of your degrees or the square footage of where you rest your feet after trading every fiber of your being for the devotion to a promotion. Your identity is your function and your permission to BE! Esther was a warrior queen! Her contribution to biblical history is one of epic proportions. Her bravery saved the children of Israel from imminent doom. “She was truly created for such a time as this!” However if we dig a bit deeper, we will discover that Esther’s Hebrew name is Hadassah, meaning- Myrtle Tree. The Myrtle tree is an aromatic tree native to North Africa and is associated with love and protection. This beautiful tree is also used as a spice for food and for medicinal purposes as well. Hadassah was functional! Her unwavering love protected her people! Her fiery, spicy resolve influenced her people! Her sweet soothing aroma calmed her people! And her healing qualities, saved her people!! Her power and her purpose rested solely in her Yah given identity! Find your function!
